A Calm, Baby-Led Newborn Photography Experience

Every newborn session is completely baby-led. That means your baby sets the pace — with plenty of time for feeds, cuddles, settling and breaks whenever needed.

I never force poses or rush a session. Instead, I gently guide your baby into natural, comfortable positions that result in soft, timeless images you’ll treasure for years.

My style is neutral, simple and elegant — keeping the focus exactly where it belongs: on your baby.

When to Book Your Newborn Session

Newborn sessions are ideally photographed when babies are between 10–21 days old, when they are naturally sleepier and more easily settled into curled poses.

That said, I don’t have a strict cut-off age — beautiful images can still be created with older babies, just in a slightly different, more relaxed style.


💛 The best time to book is after your 20-week scan, so you can secure a flexible due-date slot in my calendar.

My newborn studio is based in Newcastle, Co. Dublin, just minutes from the M50 and N7. It’s been specially designed with newborn safety and comfort in mind.


In the studio, you’ll find:

Newborn Session

Pricing & Packages

Every newborn session at Linda Clarke Photography is designed to be calm, gentle and completely baby-led. Your session is unhurried, allowing plenty of time for feeding, cuddles and settling, so we can create timeless images at your baby’s pace.

Every Newborn Session includes:


  • A calm, private newborn studio environment
  • Session lasts approximately 60–90 minutes
  • Use of my collection of neutral wraps, blankets and props
  • Gentle, baby-led posing throughout
  • Parents and siblings are very welcome
  • A minimum of 20 professionally edited images to choose from
  • Your online gallery will be ready within two weeks, allowing you to select your favourite images to keep and products to order.



* A booking fee of €95 is required to secure your session date. The remaining balance of your chosen collection is due on the day of your session.

Where is your studio based?

My studio is located in Newcastle, Co. Dublin, with easy access from the M50 and N7, and plenty of free parking.

Do you photograph older babies?

Yes — while newborn sessions are ideal in the first few weeks, I also offer older newborn and baby sessions with a more awake, natural feel.

When is the best time to book my newborn session?

I recommend booking while you’re still pregnant, ideally after your 20-week scan. This means I can reserve a flexible spot around your due date.

Do you offer sessions for older babies?

Absolutely. I don’t have a strict age limit. Whether your baby is a few days or a few months old, I’ll follow their lead and create gentle, natural images. Just note that the further they are away from the magic two weeks old they are the more likely they will be awake and less 'posable' for our session.

What should I bring to my newborn session?

Just your baby and the essentials you’d normally carry in your changing bag – nappies, wipes, a spare outfit, and milk if bottle feeding. I have everything else here in the studio.

How long does the session last?

Sessions usually last about between an hour and 90 minutes, it just depends on baby on the day. We may need breaks for cuddles and feeding, we may not.

Can parents and siblings be included in the session?

Definitely. Your family is a big part of your baby’s story, and I encourage you all to be part of the photographs. Also if you have a special fur baby or fur babies you'd like to include that is no problem as long as they can sit on command.
